MSN conferma ufficialmente il crawler per RSS

Negli scorsi giorni, con una lettera, Jeremy aveva cortesemente invitato il bot di MSN, da lui chiamato MSNBot, ad essere meno invasivo.
Queste le sue parole:

Dear MSNBot,
Take a chill pill. You've been pulling my RSS feed roughly every 10 minutes today.
I know you're late to the search game and even later to the RSS game, but seriously... WTF?!
Please take a lesson from the rest of the RSS aggregation and search services. Listen to a ping stream and think about checking once an hour or so.

A distanza di qualche giorno threadwatch.org conferma le ipotesi avanzate da Jeremy, pubblicando anche un collegamento all'annuncio di MSN.
Ora è ufficiale, MSN ha realizzato un bot esclusivamente dedicato alla scansione dei feed RSS per poter raccogliere grandi quantità di news e contenuti appena pubblicati.

Il team di MSN si dichiara soddisfatto della fase di test e comunica che, in seguito ai feedback, ha apportato alcune modifiche al sistema di scansione limitando le richieste per singolo feed.
Gli aggiornamenti al bot dovrebbero poter essere visibili nel giro di poco tempo.
